Hi I'm Ellie! I am passionate in printed textiles, focusing on pattern and colour. I have a love of design for both interiors and fashion and love to explore different trends and experiment with different techniques. I am a committed individual that strives to always improve myself and I am hoping to develop my skills throughout my career within the textiles industry. 'Extravagant Impressions' is a high-end interior collection that bridges the gap between traditional and contemporary design. My starting point was being inspired by historical styles such as the Baroque and Chintz because of the craftmanship they hold. I wanted to add a contemporary twist and was further inspired by contemporary designers Timorous Beasties due to their sometimes-unusual subject matter; this collection gives a new lease of life to historical settings and designs by mixing mark making, ink blots and watercolour florals with the traditional styles to create a new and uplifting designs.
