'Motel Malibu' is a maximalist interior print collection at a mid-market interior level, visualised for a fun and quirky hotel. Influenced by early century art movements and Miami’s Art Deco district, this collection encapsulates the personal design style I have developed throughout my degree. Using a combination of hand printing techniques and digital design, my collection explores the graphic elements of art deco geometrics and composition of the Memphis design style. Inspired by the design work of Dani Dazey in 'Trixie Motel', I aim to create a playful feeling of escapism for those seeking an experiential stay away. Whilst specialising in print I have developed an interest in marketing and branding and hope to pursue this as a career.
