Lauren Foster

About the Artist Nottinghamshire based fine artist, Lauren Foster has been advancing her skills in painting, drawing and sculpting whilst attending Nottingham Trent University over the past three years. Whilst having studied photography at A-level, she often paints and draws using her own images as a reference. Lauren’s love for animals and wildlife is reflected in her art practice; she aims to spark an appreciation for the natural world. This artist feels a deep connection to butterflies and has spent a lot of time researching the process of metamorphosis. Lauren states that butterflies ‘represent growth and resilience’. For her, this creature is a symbol of hope, and a reminder to keep progressing. Creating art is a way for this artist to feel at peace, as she celebrates the triumphs of her personal growth.
