Influenced by art history, institutions, and my experiences, my film and performance practice simultaneously informs and challenges audiences’ perceptions of what art is. Serving as an outlet for my frustrations, I embody an exaggerated persona of ‘the artist’ as an unreliable narrator, using my body as a medium to explore themes of Fluxus, absence, anti-art, satire, and appropriation - responding to the art world, transforming criticism into pieces and vice versa. If art truly is subjective, how do we as consumers and creators differentiate between the truth and the lies? Is there any difference at all? I also produce Femicide Zine, a publication, rooted in 90s Riot Grrrl culture, and intersectional feminism. Femicide Zine has been featured at various zine fairs: Bonington Gallery, 180 The Strand, zine libraries, including the Grrrl Zine Library at The Old Waterworks. I’ve worked with various arts organisations including Nottingham Contemporary, Foxall Studio, and Flowershop.
