Hello! My name is Duru Atik, I’m a Graphic Designer from Turkey who is currently based in Nottingham, completing my Graphic Communication Masters at Nottingham Trent University. I have always been interested in design, and what motivates me to create is my need for creative expression and communication. I’m a designer that cares about people and storytelling, and by using graphic design, illustration, and animation in my practice I believe I can evoke emotions, and engage with people. This year, I particularly enjoyed my project Collection of My Days, in which I explored the extent to which I could visualise my data. With my previous experience as a graphic designer in a game agency, I’m always excited to include something fun in my projects, and to try new things. I’m looking forward to developing my personal practice, and explore more playful approaches within the design industry.
