Hi! I’m Mya, a graphic designer and illustrator with a passion for mixed media and experimental hands-on design. I enjoy working with new materials and thinking outside the box in everyday design. I have discovered a skill set in branding, packaging, editorial and illustration. Within my final year at Nottingham Trent University, I experimented with creating an editorial and four ceramic tiles to celebrate pottery throwing. I have also looked further into branding and packaging by rebranding Chiquito to celebrate the true origin of Tex-Mex cuisine and branding a raspberry-flavoured whisky inspired by the Galapagos Islands. I went on to explore illustration by creating a children’s book, 'Tofie’s Terrific Adventure', which captures the life of my rabbit in an Indian household, while simultaneously addressing the lack of diversity within children’s books. In the future, I am looking forward to exploring branding and packaging further, while continuing to experiment with mixed media.
