Hello! My name is Kirsty and I’m a graphic designer and illustrator with a passion for all things creative. I immerse myself into whatever I’m working on from a systems design for growing mushrooms to an educational book about pigeons! I have a soft spot for playful design, having had illustrations published in children’s magazine, 'Anorak', but can tackle more serious topics with sensitivity too. I have experience freelancing as well as working as part of a placement at Nottingham Contemporary and with the Nottingham Trent University JOIN Collective. I love to engage in the story and history behind something and this happens in every project for me, particularly in a self-initiated type design brief inspired by my family and the Black Country. Type design is an ever-growing passion of mine, from ghost signs on the street to the nitty-gritty of bowls and tittles. I’m passionate, enthusiastic and welcome what the industry has to offer and can't wait to get involved!
