Hi I’m Millie! As soon as I was old enough to walk, I am pretty sure I had a pen/pencil in my hand, and I have loved to draw ever since. Over the last few years, I have experimented in working in various areas of design but finally on illustration I feel as though I have truly found my feet. Particularly in my third year where I focussed my interests in murals. The process is therapeutic, and I like the way my drawings live outside of a sketchbook to be viewed publicly by a community. There is something warming about my work gathering the group of people that it represents. My subject matter is flexible but ultimately, I like to have fun and I hope that this is reflected in my outcomes. The nature of my work tends to be inspired by disco music so through using bright colour palettes and elongated shapes my designs seek movement and play. In the future I would like to expand my research into mural installation’s as recently I am enthused by working with different materials.
