My main inspiration for most of the art I create is from films. I especially enjoy expressionist films and the horror genre. In my last project titled Future, I was fascinated by the 1927 movie 'Metropolis' followed by the 1925 book 'Metropolis'. From this, I created four posters from collagraph printing at A3 scale. I have been interested in printing for most of my third year but only started using it in my latest project. I originally was interested in just lino printing but found that the technique of collagraph printing was much more intricate and challenging, I found this really exciting and I want to see what else I can create through this printing method. I also have an interest in folklore, leading me to create a lino print inspired by a tale of Vasilisa the Beautiful and Baba Yaga.
