Throughout my degree specialising in printed textile design I have learnt a lot about a wide range of techniques as well as establishing my own artistic style. My final collection 'Abstract Thrive' is influenced largely through artists and designers who pair their work with scale and texture such as Mark Rothko and Picasso, also encompassing the likes of cubism which is another big influence of mine. Working specifically on the live brief for the Sanderson Design Group allowed me to explore my love for designing for high end commercial interiors which I am now using to inform my final degree collection. Using my extensive knowledge gathered through visits to galleries in Madrid as well as several different European towns and cities, I hope to encapsulate my modern, abstract designing style.
