‘Forest of Dreams’ is a family, fun festival clothing range inspired by exploring the great outdoors through the eyes of a child, and painting with no rules or guidelines using music as a sensory experience. My project has been inspired by Shambala, a green festival that has reduced its carbon footprint by over 90% and encourages customers to make and reuse their own festival outfits. As sustainability is important to me, I have re-purposed things I already had to create this collection and used sublimation dye for an eco-friendly printing technique. Throughout my time at university, I have worked on live briefs with Liberty and Sanderson Design Group, been awarded second place in a Burton Menswear competition and had work experience with Hillary's within their product management team. It’s my ambition to gain more experience relating to surface pattern design and extend my knowledge/experience of sustainable approaches to textile design.
