Henny Styles
A passionate designer, specialising in woven textiles. My final year project 'Sustained Simplicity' explores the relationship between minimalism, well-being, and sustainability. To showcase this connection, I have used subtle woven textures and structured techniques, inspired by contemporary architecture. My passion for sustainable design was recognised by the Worshipful Company of Weavers in a scholarship award that supported the use of natural yarns and sourcing GOTS organic cotton. To compliment this, my neutral colour palette creates a calming atmosphere, ensuring longevity and peace of mind, with suitability throughout the seasons. I aim to demonstrate the natural beauty of minimalist textiles by combining simplistic forms and textures to showcase the effectiveness of "less is more". By valuing the importance of textile application in home interiors, I intend to support both well-being and sustainability. I aspire to develop my skills further within the interior textile industry.
