I am an Illustration graduate from Nottingham Trent University. I am particularly interested in, and enjoy, surface pattern design. I love to create cut-out, playful, abstract shapes with vibrant colours inspired by what a brief is asking for. For example, I designed 3-dimensional cut out shapes to advertise products for The Body Shop. I focused on portraying their key value of self-love, as well as considering the fruity scents in their products. I also love to use my playful shapes to design repeat patterns for both interior and clothing purposes. For the ‘Place’ project I created a repeat pattern design inspired by nature through the eyes of a child. Focusing on shape and colour to design a joyous, lively, final outcome for a wallpaper and cushion pattern. Not only am I passionate about surface pattern, I also enjoy editorial design. Creating packaging, magazine spreads and posters, playing with typography and layout.
