I’m a final year fashion design student from NTU. My ambition is to express violent beauty appropriately in womenswear and to show womenswear not only can be elegance but also can be powerful. My project is violence aesthetics, it was inspired by the history of the Colosseum and gladiators in Ancient Rome, which led me to think about people’s obsession with violence. Violence has always been a negative word. However, aesthetics of violence creates a visual impact by exaggerating and glorifying violence. I think destructive behaviors are a way of releasing the repressed emotions, so I try to transform destructive power into creativity. The emergence of violent aesthetics not only satisfies people's desire for violence, but also reduces the probability of violence. After graduating, I hope I can get into a fashion brand to add some work experience for myself and then start my own fashion brand.
