I am a final year, BA (Hons) Fashion design Student at Nottingham Trent University. My work aims to encapsulate the way in which the natural world is deeply connected to us as human beings, specifically woman. With this in mind, my final Collection focuses on a concept which dives into the woman’s place in the natural and unnatural world; my design approach is reflected in this. I look very much into how woman are perceived and portrayed in public, I like to look at exaggerated form, yet that still hold that delicacy. To showcase the strength yet fragility that is being a woman. Being a young woman myself, I feel it’s important to explore these aspects of life, especially in a male dominated world. Once I have graduated, I would like to be able to incorporate these concepts into my future work.
