Excitement and joy have always been at the forefront of my creative vision whilst studying BA (Hons) Fashion Design at Nottingham Trent University. With a concept that takes a nostalgic look back to childhood and brings the vibrancy of the past back into our lives, allowing us all to feel young again and distract us from the ’real world’. Each design is a tailored outfit with subtle details of childhood, and a detachable aspect which allows the garment to look exciting and wonderful when not in the working environment. Creating the tailored pieces took attention to detail and hard work, and allowed me to develop my pattern cutting and manufacturing skills hugely. I was also able to extend my creative passion through the fun aspect and use my own joy and childhood to help inspire this collection into a jovial and exciting display. With an emotional connection created through memories, this collection is a creative and memorable depiction of childhood.
