Bethan Gudgin
I am graduating from the BA (Hons) in Costume Design and Construction at Nottingham Trent University. I am a competent and versatile designer and maker who is willing to give anything a go. My course, being equal measures making and design, has shown me how much I enjoy experimenting and trying out new things. I am very resilient when things go wrong, not panicking but instead working to solve the issue at hand with a clear mind. I am also not afraid of the less glamorous roles and like to get stuck in wherever I can be of most use. Most of all, I really enjoy designing and making costumes and I think this passion is evident. I have had several work experience opportunities including a placement at the Bridge Theatre, work on several short films, working on kids theatre productions ‘Pythagoras’ Toolkit’ and ‘I Piano’ and working in theatrical costume hire house Surrey Arts Wardrobe. Skills include period pattern drafting, design illustration, millinery and breaking down.
