I am Zoe, a textile/embroidery graduate based in Nottingham. Through my love for texture, multi-disciplinary and detail-driven design, I present my graduate collection: The Fine Print. This wearable art collection aims to illuminate the breath-taking intricacies within our everyday surroundings. Reflecting on life with chronic illness, I want to highlight the positive impact that taking moments to pause, observe and appreciate the smaller details of everyday can have on our overall wellbeing. My university experience has allowed me to push myself as a designer, having worked with variety of briefs and competitions often gaining commendations including work shortlisted and displayed at the National Embroidery Awards, receiving Gunold thread sponsorship from AJS Embroidery and first prize for first-year weave work in Bradford Textile Society’s design competition. Moving forward, I hope to continue learning, challenging and evolving as a designer within bespoke embroidery/costume design.
