My high-end interiors collection Worn Serenity is inspired by the Japanese philosophy, wabi-sabi, celebrating the beauty of imperfection and the passing of time. The collection is made from naturally dyed materials, many being second-hand, and revived using mending techniques, giving the textiles both physical and emotional durability. Worn Serenity reflects biophilic design principles, bringing the quiet presence of nature into interior spaces, nurturing mental well-being. From voile to ceramics, my approach to materials is versatile, blending contrasting textures and qualities. After a year in industry, working across several embroidery studios, I developed a strong technical foundation and a passion for digital machine embroidery. Integrating this with print, hand embroidery, and weave allows me to create layered, tactile textiles that endure. I look forward to using the skills I have learnt and deepening my passion and creativity as I progress within the textile industry.
