I am Srijina Dasgupta, a fashion and textile designer from India, currently studying BA (Hons) Textile Design in Nottingham. My practice is rooted in print design, combining bold colour, layered surfaces, and handcrafted techniques to create nostalgic narratives inspired by Indian heritage and maximalist aesthetics.
My graduate collection, The Idiots Archive, explores friendship, personal growth, and the chaos of college life through a playful 1990s Indian retro lens. Using reclaimed denim, patchwork, cyanotype prints, and embroidery, the project celebrates shared memories while embracing sustainability through reworked materials.
After graduating, I hope to build a career in print and surface design across fashion, lifestyle, and creative industries, creating vibrant and meaningful work that connects people through culture and memory.
