I am a woven textile designer. My work is rooted in wellness, nostalgia and memory. My project, Soulful Care, is inspired by my Togolese heritage and the stories and sense of community that shaped my upbringing. I’m interested in how revisiting memories acts as a form of self-care offering comfort and reflection.
I’m drawn to the beauty of small moments. I use a cross-disciplinary approach, combining weaving with various mixed media techniques. My visual inspiration comes from postcards and photographs, which I translate into woven samples through colour, pattern and texture.
My placement year at Erdem, in the fabrics and trims department developed my understanding of materials, manufacturing and industry practice. I enjoy experimenting by layering different fibres, materials and surfaces. I focus on creating timeless pieces with emotional durability. I aim to bring joy through storytelling, an aspect I hope to continue developing through interior and fashion accessories.
