My name is Ollie, and I am an aspiring fashion designer who approaches fashion as a form of art rather than simply clothing. Drawing on my background in textiles, I use fabric, texture, and construction to communicate ideas that go beyond surface-level design. I am particularly drawn to incorporating statement free-motion stitched illustrations, created on a domestic sewing machine, as a way of adding raw, expressive detail to my garments.
A key focus of my practice is mental health, with projects inspired by my own experiences. I use my work to process these experiences and translate them into something visual and tangible, with the aim of encouraging more open conversations around mental health.
I am interested in how clothing can hold emotion, narrative, and identity, transforming everyday garments into something personal and thought-provoking. My goal is to create meaningful work that connects with others on a deeper level.
