Biophilic Futures explores the relationship between natural oceanic structures and future-focused design practices. Drawing inspiration from the tactile forms of coral, jellyfish, fossils and shells, the project reflects my fascination with fluidity, movement and the sensory qualities of marine environments. Through this, I aim to create thought-provoking textiles by exploring how biomaterials can shape the future of embellishment. I intend to push the boundaries of fashion design through unconventional materials and forms. Using seaweed-based biopolymers, I develop experimental surfaces where the material itself becomes integral to the concept. This collection targets a luxury market where traditional craftsmanship meets material innovation within a contemporary fashion context, demonstrating that beauty and functionality can still be achieved through experimental, sustainable materials within a couture setting.
