I am a BA (Hons) Fine Art student specialising in painting, currently based in Nottingham. My practice explores material, surface and spatial experience, focusing on how gesture and texture can extend painting beyond the image. I am particularly interested in the relationship between painting and space, and how these interactions shape atmosphere and perception. Working primarily on found wood, I use its raw texture and imperfections as active elements within the work, allowing gesture, movement and material to interact. Through an instinctive and physical approach to painting, I aim to create work that engages the viewer on a sensory and emotional level. After graduating, I aim to develop my practice within spatial and interior contexts, exploring opportunities that bridge fine art and immersive environments.
