I am a BA (Hons) Costume Design and Construction graduate from Nottingham Trent University. I have a passion for costume making in both film and theatre, with a particular interest in historical costume and textiles. In my final year, I have designed and constructed costumes for 'The Importance of Being Earnest' and a 1920’s 'Into the Woods'. Both projects have strengthened my knowledge and confidence in costume making and design processes. My design work is rooted in research of time periods, people and culture, allowing me to weave hidden storytelling into a character’s costume. This approach informs and enhances my construction process. During my degree, I have developed strong practical skills in pattern drafting, tailoring and millinery, and I’m happiest when I am in the studio making. I am excited to continue learning and working within the costume community as I build my career, contributing passion and enthusiasm to every project I am a part of.
