For me, costume is more than clothing, it is a key part of performance, helping actors step into character and allowing audiences to understand a story before a word is spoken.
My practice is rooted in construction as I enjoy working hands-on with fabric, texture, and form, developing garments through a process of research, experimentation, and intuitive making.
I am particularly interested in how costume can express identity within fantasy and character-led narratives.
Recent projects include a Josephine Baker biopic, a stylised operatic design for Olympia in The Tales of Hoffmann, and a western film concept inspired by Nat Love.
Across these, I have developed a collaborative approach, enjoying the process of working with others to bring ideas to life through costume.
I am now looking to begin my career in the creative industry, where I can continue to grow as a maker and contribute to fun and meaningful, story-driven work.
