I am a final-year BA Fashion Design student working under the concept The Art of Withholding. My practice explores the space between concealment and exposure, where identity is shaped through what is hidden, protected, and revealed. Informed by themes of migration, belonging, and unseen lives, my work positions lingerie as both a private and visible layer, reflecting intimacy and complex personal narratives. I design with a focus on emotional durability, creating garments that hold meaning beyond the moment. Through layering and modular construction, pieces shift, wrap, and open, forming silhouettes that move between protection and vulnerability. During my placement year, I gained experience in a fast-paced commercial environment, strengthening my technical and professional skills. My aim is to re-enter the industry and contribute to a creative, forward-thinking design environment.
