Floella Mojica

I am a final year BA (Hons) Fashion Knitwear Design and Knitted Textiles student with a passion for pattern, colour and culture. My collection 'Tailored Tradition' explores a fusion of cultures I grew up around. My project explores the intersection of Filipino heritage and contemporary London streetwear, drawing on traditional craftsmanship such as weaving, embroidery, and cultural motifs. Inspired by the contrast between my upbringing and the urban environment around me, I reinterpret these elements through oversized silhouettes, layered textures, and modern knit structures. Sustainability is an important part of my practice, influencing both my material choices and design approach. After graduation, I aim to continue growing as a designer, highlighting sustainability and work towards building my own small business, celebrating my Filipino heritage.
