My collection, A Touch of Charm, captures nature as a place alive with character, imagining a world shaped by expression and gentle magic. The project stems from my dissertation, where I explored what domesticated nature, especially gardens, reveals about human-nature relationships. Reflecting on this research showed how many of my childhood memories are rooted in my loved ones’ gardens, where my imagination first felt boundless. My woven interiors collection reflects this by softly blurring the line between reality and imagination, transforming that inner world into tactile fabrics made from natural materials and bringing ideas like fuchsia ballerinas and expressive botanicals to life. Throughout my course, I’ve developed strong handwoven and digital design skills, taken part in industry competitions across weave and print, and received the Weavers Company’s Scholarship Award for Excellence. I’m excited to continue expanding my creative practice within the textile industry.
