I am a weave specialist who focuses mainly on creating texture and experimenting with materials to craft an energetic and engaging atmosphere. My project is inspired by festivals and their ethos of peace and love, drawn from the hippie movement and reimagined within the 90s rave scene. I have experimented with a variety of materials, including monofilament, wire, glow-in-the-dark yarn, and reflective yarn, to produce playful, textured pieces. I greatly enjoyed my work experience at A Rum Fellow and our design brief for Ashley Wilde, which gave me a better understanding of the industry I am eager to work in. My personal style combines dark backgrounds with bright neon colours and textures to create striking contrasts and luminescent effects through experimental materials, expressing my theme of contemporary festival culture.
