I am a final year BA (Hons) Fashion Design student at NTU. My final collection, 'After the Box' is inspired by Greek Mythology, specifically 'Pandora's Box'. I took this myth and looked at the idea of hope and optimism remaining in times of uncertainty. My print is inspired by Ancient Greek patterns, printed on silk-like fabric to emulate the delicate intangible magic of hope, whilst being combined with silhouettes that lean on a foundation of tailoring with a contemporary streetwear feel. I am also a finalist within the GFF X Liberty competition and am excited to present my final work at Graduate Fashion Week. Furthermore, I completed a professional placement last year, working at three different companies as well as writing for a magazine on the side, providing invaluable knowledge entering final year. Upon graduating, I hope to create my own brand with my friends and pursue my love for design and creating.
