Priya Limbu

I am a final year BA (Hons) Fashion Design student. My practice focuses on womenswear, combining print design with structured silhouettes. Influenced by my upbringing in Hong Kong, I explore the contrast between the city’s fast pace and the quiet presence of nature. I draw inspiration from cultural festivals and mythology, particularly the Mid-Autumn festival – a harvest celebration, using its symbolism to explore themes of femininity, longing and grace through a modern lens. My design translates visual elements such as lantern structures and organic bamboo forms into wearable pieces, blending tradition with innovation. I am particularly interested in integrating digital technologies like CLO3D into my pattern cutting process to push the boundaries of design and construction. After graduating, I hope to work in design roles within companies that align with my personal brand of combing cultural heritage with modern aesthetics while still prioritizing tech within the process.
