I am Ella Town, a Theatre Design student at Nottingham Trent. I studied art and design prior to my time at university and have always been particularly interested in more abstract interpretations of traditional ideas. When beginning my studies, I found most enjoyment through interpreting plays through art, taking a more artistic view of a plays themes and challenging myself to incorporate this into my designs. Throughout my studies I’ve taken a particular interest in lighting and projection design, having gained experience overseeing these things in multiple projects. I have experience using After Effects and Mad Mapper, using these to create background animations for my designs. After graduation, I aim to further explore this and develop further my creative language within theatre design.
