My name is Lola Pethybridge and I am a final year BA (hons) Theatre Design student at NTU. I am currently based in Nottingham. I have a background in construction, and that is where my strengths lie. I value a personal connection to my designs and often draw on my own experiences to guide my ideas. I have developed skills in model making and digital design, as well as in technical drawing using applications such as AutoCAD and SketchUp. During my course, I have further developed my construction skills, learning more techniques and how to quickly build set pieces. I have done design work for Nottingham College and was shortlisted for the Nottingham Playhouse Prize in 2025 for my Small Island set design. I'm interested in designing spaces for fashion shows and nightclubs. So I am planning on doing a Master's Degree in Interior Architecture and Design in the 26/27 year to broaden my design skills and get better at designing spaces as well as theatre sets.
