Annie Reeves

I am a costume designer and maker from Norwich. My passion for costume began when I did a diploma in fashion textiles at Norwich city college and had the opportunity to experiment with designing and making unique outfits. This led me to applying to NTU to study Costume design and construction. During my time at university I have been able to explore my interests in fantasy, music and history, I have particularly enjoyed doing historical research on the Mycenaeans and Greek mythology, designing costumes for historical fantasy and writing my dissertation on this topic. I have experimented with making armour out of foam and working with resin and moulding and casting. I have also enjoyed experimenting with puppetry, designing puppets inspired by the Muppets and eventually volunteering at Norwich puppet theatre where my love for puppets has only grown. I have also expanded my skills in Millinery and have made a range of hats from a baker boy to a felted cloche and beaded pillbox.
