As a passionate costume design graduate, I am deeply inspired by historical fashions along with Eastern and Oriental aesthetics. My work often reflects on my background and heritage as it is part of who I am as a person and a designer, I like to explore the beauty of the past through modern eyes. I use different techniques to make my ideas come to life but I am especially drawn to the technical side of design like pattern drafting and construction while also using modern technologies to make it easier. Through my designs, I aim to create pieces that rich in both research and imagination. Each costume is a representation of an era, cultures and characters, I hope to continue my exploration on how costume can evoke time, place and emotion. My goal is to tell a story through my pieces that are both visually compelling and emotionally resonant.
