I am a BA (Hons) Fine Art student who came to NTU with a passion for animals and the natural world. Throughout my life, I have volunteered at various animal sanctuaries and visited places that have given me a strong admiration for nature and its beauty. At university, I’ve channelled these interests into my art practice, with the focus being on raising awareness about plastic pollution, climate change, and deforestation. I carefully create each painting and sculpture using recycled materials and handmade natural pigments, utilising the skills I’ve gained over the past three years. I wish to shed light on the issues that consumerist behaviour causes for our planet and its creatures. I have volunteered to help run kids art classes in the past which is a skill I have really enjoyed and wish to take further in my future. In my final year I have also worked as a curator for the student-led ‘Square Gallery’, helping to organise exhibitions that celebrate the many talents across our course.
