My name is Egem Doga Duman, and I’m an MA Illustration student from Turkey. I have a background in Graphic Design, and in my work, I like to explore raw emotions, and the rough imperfections that come with being human. For my MA project, I created a graphic novel adaptation for the Welcome to Night Vale series. The story is absurdist and dada-adjacent, and the dreamlike state of the narrative leaves it open to interpretation, which makes it excellent material for free self-expression. During my year of studies in Nottingham, I developed my skills and mindset as an illustrator massively, and I hope to further my practice in the UK after graduation.
