I am Erika Isangulova, a final year BA (Hons) Fashion Design student. My final major project explores the journey of life, where every experience leaves a mark on one’s consciousness, shaping future paths. The sea serves as a metaphor for emotional depth, identity, and transformation, with its tides and ebbs reflecting the fluidity of human experience. Inspired by the interplay of light and water, I experiment with sculptural silhouettes to capture movement frozen in time. My work merges craftsmanship with storytelling, embracing both design's technical and emotional aspects. Through innovative draping and fabric manipulation, I seek to create garments that embody transformation, resilience, and the beauty of imperfection. By blending intricate detailing with bold, architectural silhouettes, I push the boundaries of couture, redefining fashion as an immersive and sculptural experience.
