Daisy Brace

My final major project is adapting heritage which tells a story of self-expression, ambition and motivation through a product range and promotional content that is catered towards the disabled community. During my time at Nottingham Trent University, I have focused my studies on human centred design and gained a passion for incorporating adaptive design into my work. Working alongside various brands during collaborations and competitions such as Very and Ellesse, I used my research from learning more about human centred design to create clothing that has a balance of function and aesthetic, showing ways that the fashion industry can create universal clothing and work towards becoming more inclusive. Alongside adaptive design, In my final year I have been interested in sharing my equestrian heritage through tailoring and sustainability within upcycled bridlery and leather design which I aim to continue exploring and developing in my postgraduate journey.
