I am a final year BA (Hons) Fashion Design student whose work is informed by my surroundings, personal interactions with clothing, trend forecasting, and the experiential dimensions of fashion. My graduate collection, Current Layer, is inspired by my passion for fashion sportswear, my cultural heritage, and the desire to bridge aesthetics with functionality—specifically in the protection of curly hairstyles. During my first year, I developed Dainty Rebel, a jacket crafted from pre-loved garments provided by White Rose. This project highlighted the importance of repurposing fabric and sustainable design. The piece was shortlisted among the top garments of the year and sold in a central Nottingham White Rose store. Following graduation, I intend to further expand my expertise in technical materials and continue creating fashion that is both sustainable and aligned with future trends.
