My design practice explores queer identity through unisex fashion, reclaiming the individuality and self-expression that queer communities pioneered which are now often diluted as queer aesthetics become mainstream and adopted by straight culture. This nautical-inspired collection revives that lost edge with bold symbols: gay sailors, non-binary mermaids, and lesbian nautical star tattoos. It celebrates queerness as culture, not trend. Sustainability is central- I use donated and preloved fabrics, transforming them into unique garments hand-embellished with beach-combed shells and sea-glass I personally drill and sew. I’m driven by a belief in gender and sexual equality and a fierce commitment to resisting fast fashion through slow, intentional design. My work is a love letter to queer legacy, and a protest against its commodification.
