Carla Wood's Over-Exposed is a collection with a theme centred between exploration, censorship and empowerment. Inspired by pioneering women in hiking history, and a post-World War 2 plane that crashed in the Peak District, her work honours these forgotten moments in history and highlights issues which remain deeply relevant today. Her design blends hardware with deconstructed tailoring, and she prides herself on her skills in garment construction. Carla is eager to continue developing her technical skills for industry, having taken a placement year working as a pattern cutting and sewing intern at Paul Smith and has the ambition to pursue a future career in technical pattern cutting/tailoring.
