As a costume student, I’ve grown significantly in both my technical and creative abilities. I’m now more confident and experienced in pattern cutting, with a stronger understanding of how to translate designs from concept to construction. I’ve also developed a deeper appreciation for the importance of material choices — not just for aesthetic appeal, but for movement, durability, and the overall functionality of a costume. This awareness now guides my design decisions, helping me create work that’s both visually compelling and practical for performance. Through hands-on projects and collaborative experiences, I continued to refine my skills and expand my knowledge. I’m excited by the challenges each new costume presents and am committed to pushing my creativity further while grounding my work in solid construction techniques with this a goal of mine is to work in film or theatre, bringing imaginative fantasy worlds to life through costume design.
