Mia Mayhew
I am a final year BA (Hons) Fashion Communication and Promotion student. I take great interest in the psychology of why we eat foods we do, and whether or if there is a nostalgic component to the reasons why we consumer the foods we do. My self-devised project exhibits my understanding of nostalgia by discussing the issue of why university students acquire poor eating habits and their connection to feeling homesick. During my research for my project, I had the incredible opportunity to interview trend forecaster Morgaine Gaye, who provided me with significant insights on forthcoming trends in the food industry and how they would transcend into many other industries. After graduation, I intend to travel before pursuing a career in the food industry involving marketing or data analytics.
