I’m Lucy, originally from Yorkshire. I am passionate about designing for theatre and have skills in illustration, photoshop and AutoCAD. During my final year at university I had the opportunity to design and realise the costume schemes for two shows at Nottingham College. This gave me the opportunity to work on two different shows simultaneously whilst working with two different casts, directors and the set designer for both shows to create a coherent design for both productions. I also discovered a love for set dressing and scenic arts from my placement at Harrogate Theatre in July 2022 where I worked under a designer to help them realise an immersive show called ‘122 Love Stories’. In future I would like to design for theatre productions particularly comedy productions, which was also the focus of my dissertation, and work on the behind the scenes of a production.
