I am currently a final year Fashion Design student who has always had sustainability at the core of my design processes and decisions. I aim to design menswear collections that are "seasonless" and based upon core garments which men can cherish and wear for a lifetime rather than one season. I consciously incorporate detailing within my designs after learning, whilst working on the River Island live menswear project a few years ago, that this is important to the male consumer when being first introduced to menswear. Therefore, involving innovative pattern cutting to elevate wardrobe staples whilst ensuring that they are still wearable is a main part of my collections. This typically involves functional details such as detachable elements to allow the garments to be adaptable and long-lasting for the consumer. After graduating, my mission is to develop these skills and work towards creating a more positive impact within the fashion industry.
