Hey, I'm Hollie! As a designer and illustrator I am a lover of anything craft-related but also combining those physical skills with digital skills to create outcomes. Throughout university I have explored multiple areas of design, keeping my options open and exploring everything I can to push my creativity to its limits. I really enjoy getting my hands dirty and dig into using various materials and processes to realise my outcomes. There is something about the handmade that brings projects to life and helps me to create something fun that people can enjoy. This year I have enjoyed my ‘Celebrating Craft’ project - researching the Japanese craft of Kintsugi. The outcome of this was handmaking clay earrings and creating a brand that embraces imperfection in yourself. The idea that I can create something that can impact someone and create a meaningful experience to them is what drives me as a designer. I am super excited to get out into the art world, embracing everything it has to offer!
