Emma Large
Hi I’m Emma, and this is my final year fashion design work. I have a good eye for detail, as well as being self-motivated and continuously improving my portfolio and developing skills with strong CAD skills in Adobe software. I wish to progress into the marketing and branding sector by hopefully completing a Masters in Fashion Marketing after I graduate. Specialising in womenswear, for my Final Major Project I have looked into the idea of whether things are tacky or if it is just people’s personal opinions and a matter of taste. Drawing from this, extravagance and maximalism are two big themes within my project and both link well to things that I perceive as tacky. I have taken inspiration from areas challenging the idea of taste, such as people who project a larger-than-life persona such as Leigh Bowery, who was renowned for his flamboyant and controversial looks.
