Hi! I'm a final year BA (Hons) Fashion Knitwear Design and Knitted Textiles student from Nottingham Trent University. I did a placement year in London, doing pattern cutting, studio intern knitting on the domestic machine for a small brand and also in a knitwear production factory. For this project, Mycelium greatly inspired me. Looking into the delicacy of life and impermanence of death; decaying, rotting, coming back to life by the power of nature, the collection brings out qualities of marvellous Mother Nature - things falling apart but still, miraculously staying together to bring new life. The aesthetics of this collection takes fragility and decomposition to silhouettes and structures of knit with movements of mycelia coming through.
